Minister Champagne in Toronto May 6 and 7 to highlight the Spring Economic Update 2026

Toronto, Ontario - On May 6 and May 7, the Honourable Francois-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue, will be in Toronto to take part in various speaking engagements where he will highlight the government's plan to build a stronger, more independent, more resilient economy for all Canadians.
 

Date: Wednesday, May 6, 2026 (all times are local)

11:30 a.m.  

While in Toronto, the Minister will join David Herle, host of the Curse of Politics and The Herle Burly podcasts, for a fireside chat hosted by the Empire Club of Canada, where he will reflect on the government's fiscal and economic priorities, and what lies ahead for Canadians as the country navigates a complex international and domestic landscape. 4:50 p.m.
